SM Supermalls, in collaboration with She Loves Tech, QBO Innovation Hub, and Ideaspace Ventures Inc., celebrated the innovative spirit of Filipina entrepreneurs at the Philippine finals of She Loves Tech 2024.

The event, held at SM Aura’s Samsung Hall, provided a platform for ten Filipina-led tech startups to showcase their cutting-edge business models

She Loves Tech, a Singapore-based startup accelerator also led and founded by three women, has made supporting and launching women-led businesses their main focus since 2015. This advocacy brought along the establishment of the world’s largest startup competition for women and tech with the same name.

She Loves Tech co-founder Leanne Robers shares the importance of women-led innovation and the importance of championing women in male-dominated industries such as tech.

This year’s finalists represented a diverse range of industries, including agriculture, health and wellness, and accessibility technology.

After rigorous evaluation, Unprude and Farmtri were selected to represent the Philippines in the Regional Finals in Singapore.

Unprude, a mental health app focused on sexual well-being, and Farmtri, a B2B digital platform addressing food value chain challenges, impressed the judges with their potential for growth and impact.

SM Supermalls, a staunch advocate for MSMEs and women entrepreneurship, has been actively supporting initiatives that empower Filipino women. The partnership with She Loves Tech aligns with the mall giant’s commitment to fostering innovation and creating opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The She Loves Tech competition is just one of SM Supermalls’ initiatives to support women-led businesses. The company also offers platforms like SM’s Weekend Marketplace and SM4SMEs Community Bazaar to help entrepreneurs reach a wider market.

The partnership is also a continuation of SM’s year-round support for women-led businesses and startups, which can be seen through initiatives like SM’s Weekend Marketplace and the SM4SMEs Community Bazaar.

As SM Cyberzone celebrates Cyber Month this August, the company reinforces its dedication to technology and how it can help level up anyone’s lifestyle, including through tech-powered job creation and tech-integrated business practices that address sustainability and community-building.
