PUMA and the McLaren Formula 1 Team ignited race-week excitement ahead of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix with Ignition Beach, a high-energy fan experience held at St Kilda Beach, Melbourne.

Staged just days before the opening race of the Formula 1 season, the event brought the thrill of Grand Prix week beyond the circuit and onto Melbourne’s iconic shoreline, giving fans a chance to connect with the team in a lively, open-air setting.

On March 4, creators from Southeast Asia and Oceania—including Filipino Formula 1 content creator Marti Pecache—had an exclusive regional experience at Ignition Beach. The gathering featured interactive fan activities and an exclusive meet-and-greet with McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, who was celebrating his home race as the Australian returned to compete in Melbourne.

The event concluded with a private evening launch marking the official start of the global partnership between PUMA and McLaren Racing.

Thomas Josnik, PUMA’s vice president for motorsport, said Ignition Beach was created to capture Melbourne’s race-week energy by giving fans a chance to connect with the team, explore PUMA x McLaren merchandise, and experience Formula 1 up close.

Louise McEwen, chief marketing officer of McLaren Racing, said the event reflects the team’s push to bring fans closer to the sport through immersive experiences beyond the track.

PUMA and McLaren Racing’s global partnership brings together two performance-driven brands united by innovation and community. As official team kit partner, PUMA will outfit the entire McLaren Racing portfolio, strengthening its long-standing legacy in motorsport while bringing fans closer to the energy of race week.

The latest PUMA x McLaren Racing Collection is now available at select PUMA stores, select official retailers, and online at puma.com and mclarenstore.com.
