Residents of Camotes Island now have greater access to high-speed connectivity as PLDT Home brings its fiber network to three municipalities, opening more opportunities for work, education, business, and digital services.
The expansion covers the municipalities of San Francisco, Poro, and Tudela as PLDT continues to extend its broadband network beyond major urban centers. The rollout aims to help more island communities participate in the digital economy, with reliable internet supporting activities ranging from online learning and remote work to digital banking, e-commerce, and other essential services.
Known for its white-sand beaches, underground caves, and cliff-jumping sites, Camotes Island is also a growing tourism destination. Better connectivity can help local businesses promote attractions, reach customers online, and stay connected with visitors and communities beyond the island.
Residents in covered areas can subscribe to PLDT Home Fiber Unli All 1499, which offers unlimited fiber internet at speeds of up to 200 Mbps.
The plan includes 63 Cignal channels and HBO Max Standard, unlimited landline-to-landline calls, and landline-to-mobile calls to five nominated Smart or TNT numbers. Subscribers also receive 9GB of Smart mobile data each month, which can be shared with up to three nominated Smart or TNT numbers.
The bundled services can support students accessing educational resources, family members working from home, and households using online banking, telehealth, government platforms, and e-commerce. Reliable broadband can also help entrepreneurs and local businesses promote products, manage transactions, and engage customers online.
PLDT Home worked with local government units and community partners in San Francisco, Poro, and Tudela to introduce its fiber services. Community visits and information booths are being held at the Agora Public Market in San Francisco, the RBC Business Center near Poro Port, and an area beside the Tudela Municipal Hall.
The rollout also supports community-based sales and service activities, with local agents and partners assisting residents interested in applying for fiber connectivity.
Residents may visit PLDT Home booths and authorized local representatives in the three municipalities to inquire about Fiber Unli All 1499 and check service availability in their areas.
