Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA has partnered with global food rescue foundation Scholars of Sustenance (SOS Philippines) to tackle food waste and address hunger in vulnerable communities.

This collaboration underscores the hotel’s commitment to responsible business initiatives and sustainable practices.

The objective of this partnership is to rescue surplus food of good quality, particularly from the hotel’s restaurant, in order to prevent waste and provide nourishment to those in need.

By teaming up with SOS Philippines, Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA aims to ensure that surplus food items reach underprivileged communities and make a positive impact within the local area.

The dedicated culinary team at Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA will work closely with SOS Philippines volunteers to minimize food waste and contribute to supporting vulnerable communities.

Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) is an international foundation with a specific focus on food rescue, operating in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. SOS’s overarching goal is to optimize the food system by reducing avoidable wastage of excess food and promoting fair food distribution.

This is achieved through the redistribution of consumable surplus food sourced from various food-related enterprises, including hotels, grocery stores, eateries, food manufacturers, and other suppliers.

This collaboration between Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA and SOS Philippines not only addresses the critical issues of food waste and hunger but also emphasizes the importance of responsible and sustainable practices within the hospitality industry.
