Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) has taken a significant step to accelerate its growth in 2024 by joining the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc (CAMPI), the country’s largest auto industry organization.

Effective February 1, 2024, Jetour became CAMPI’s 15th associate member, joining 22 other brands in a unified effort to achieve unprecedented growth in the local automotive industry.

According to CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez, who had a meeting with JAPI Managing Director Miguelito Jose to formalize JAPI’s membership, he saw the potential of the brand and that JAPI could help the chamber achieve its goals for the year.

“Our outlook for the industry is positive. We want to hit 468,300 (vehicles sold), maintaining the momentum of the 9% growth of the industry in 2023,” Gutierrez said.

Meanwhile, Jose said that a membership in CAMPI opens up even bigger avenues of growth for JAPI. “Being a CAMPI member elevates JAPI’s standing in an industry that is getting even more competitive,” he said.

“To become part of this illustrious group in an effort to reach an all-time-high industry sales mark of 468,300 units units is an opportunity not to be missed,” he added.

JAPI projects that it would grow its vehicle sales from 1,018 units sold in its first 9 months of operations in 2023, to 3,700 units sold (including 700 electric vehicles) by the end of 2024.

In addition, it has initiated a dealership network expansion program for 2024 that would see its number of dealerships and showrooms double—from 5 to 10 in Metro Manila, and from 7 to 14 in the provinces.

JAPI has also been invited to participate in the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS 2024) to be held from October 24 to 28.
