Amazon free shipping

If high shipping costs have been deterring you from checking out those items sitting in your Amazon cart for months, you might want to revisit them and see if they qualify for free shipping.

The global e-commerce giant is now offering free shipping to the Philippines for select products if a cart meets the minimum $49 order threshold—or about P2,800 in current exchange rates.

According to Amazon, product categories where free shipping may apply include computers and accessories, books, beauty, fashion, home, and toys.

How to get free shipping to the Philippines

  • Set your delivery address to Philippines.
  • Qualifying items shipped by Amazon will display “FREE Shipping to Philippines” by item price.
  • Review your Shopping Cart to see if your order qualifies for FREE Shipping.
  • If your order qualifies, “FREE AmazonGlobal Shipping” will be pre-selected at checkout.

Note, however, that if your cart contains non-eligible items, you might be charged shipping fees for these items.

Delivery time estimates shall be provided during checkout, and will also depend on the item’s availability and the buyer’s address.

Amazon also reminds shoppers that there are no changes to its import fee policy. Shoppers can check the Amazon website if duty fees are required for purchased items.

However, it remains unclear if the free shipping option is permanent. In a disclaimer, Amazon said it “reserves the right to modify this promotion at any time.”
