After building its name in smartphones, HONOR is charting a new course. The technology company has rebranded itself as an AI device ecosystem company, signaling a broader ambition to develop connected AI-powered products and experiences.

The move builds on initiatives introduced under its Alpha strategy, including on-device AI, its AiMAGE imaging platform, and the development of Agentic OS, an AI-driven operating system designed to deliver more intelligent and connected user experiences.

HONOR also highlighted recent milestones supporting its transformation, including its partnership with world-renowned designer and manufacturer of professional camera technology ARRI to enhance mobile imaging capabilities, as well as demonstrations involving its Robot Phone concept and humanoid robotics technology.

The company said the strategy is gaining traction commercially. In the first quarter of 2026, HONOR reported 25% year-on-year growth, making it the only Chinese smartphone brand to post positive growth during the period. More than half of its revenue came from overseas markets, while its foldable smartphone business maintained a global top-two ranking.

HONOR said it is also expanding its brand presence through partnerships with global events and collaborations with lifestyle and designer brands to better connect with younger consumers.

The refreshed identity underscores HONOR’s ambition to build an open AI ecosystem spanning multiple devices, as the company seeks to evolve from a smartphone brand into a broader AI technology company.
