Google has unveiled the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with upgrades focused on design, durability, display brightness, charging, cameras, and AI-powered features.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is nearly 10% lighter and about 1mm thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, while also getting slimmer bezels. It comes in Obsidian and a new Olive finish. For displays, it features a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch inner OLED display, with both panels now 20% brighter and reaching up to 3,600 nits.
The foldable introduces HiLight, a new feature built into the camera bar that uses LEDs around the flash to deliver glanceable, color-coded notifications. It can alert users to calls from favorite contacts and provide visual cues when talking to Gemini hands-free, with more functions, including message notifications, coming later.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is built to better withstand everyday wear and tear. It retains IP68 dust and water resistance and gets a tougher glass fiber composite back, a new gearless hinge, and ceramic cover glass on the outer display. Google says the combination makes it three times more durable than last year’s model, while also improving the display crease.
Charging is faster, with 30W wired charging reaching 50% in about 30 minutes and built-in 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging. Google claims more than 24 hours of battery life.
Under the hood is Google’s new Tensor G6 chip paired with 16GB of RAM, with the foldable optimized for Gemini Intelligence. New software features include sign-to-text translation using the front camera, optimized app bubbles, and improved multitasking tools such as Split Screen and Drag and Drop.
For photography, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold features a 48MP main camera, 10.8MP 5x telephoto lens, and 10.5MP ultra-wide shooter, along with dual 10MP selfie cameras on the front. The camera system supports up to 30x Super Zoom and gets new Magic Capture and Camera Looks features.
