Globe has officially rolled out its local prepaid eSIM, which gives prepaid subscribers the convenience of having their own number without relying on a physical SIM.

The Globe Prepaid local eSIM offers convenience, eco-friendliness, and streamlined digital experiences, and includes a unique eSIM compatibility check to ensure devices are ready for the technology.

Priced at P99, it not only provides a convenient communication experience but also promotes an eco-conscious lifestyle by reducing reliance on physical SIMs, and eliminates plastic and carded distribution.

The eSIM is available for both iOS and Android devices through the GlobeOne app. To activate, iOS users can simply scan the QR code provided in their email using their phone’s camera or add the eSIM under “Cellular Plans” in their phone’s settings. Android users, on the other hand, can scan the QR code through the “SIM Card Manager” in their phone’s settings. All subscribers are required to register their eSIM via the GlobeOne app.

Subscribers can also manage multiple profiles using different mobile numbers on a single device, enabling them to effortlessly switch lines for various purposes such as after-office activities, travel, or any other aspect of their lifestyle.

Currently, the Globe Prepaid eSIM is only available for new Globe Prepaid numbers. The telco is working on making it possible to convert existing prepaid physical SIMs to eSIMs in the future.
