Garmin is taking another swing at golf technology with the launch of the new Garmin Approach G82, a portable device that combines a launch monitor with an advanced GPS handheld to help golfers sharpen every part of their game—from powerful drives to delicate putts.
Designed for both practice sessions and real rounds on the course, the Approach G82 introduces expanded radar metrics and new putting analysis tools aimed at helping players improve consistency and make smarter decisions on every shot.
The Approach G82’s built-in launch monitor tracks key swing data including ball speed, club speed, smash factor, and tempo. Garmin has also added putting metrics that allow players to monitor stroke length, tempo, club speed, and ball speed to refine their performance on the green.

Additional training features include bag mapping, which records how far each club typically travels and syncs with the virtual caddie feature for smarter club recommendations during play. Golfers can also use target practice, tempo training, and club speed training modes to build consistency and accuracy.
On the course, the device offers enhanced PlaysLike distance adjustments that factor in elevation and environmental conditions, along with wind speed, hazard locations, and automatic course updates when paired with the Garmin Golf app on a compatible smartphone.

The IPX7-rated device also includes magnetic mounting, up to 25 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to eight hours in radar mode.
It’s now available for P38,290.
