Fujifilm Business Innovation is set to establish a Circular Manufacturing Center (CMC) at Fujifilm Optics Philippines Inc. (FOPH) in Laguna, with operations slated to begin in August 2026.
The facility will focus on producing remanufactured multi-function printers (MFPs) to strengthen resource circulation efforts across the Asia-Pacific region.
Located within the premises of FOPH, a precision manufacturing site for imaging equipment, the CMC will remanufacture MFPs collected from the Asia-Pacific region. Each unit will be disassembled, inspected, cleaned, and reassembled using reusable components—achieving a parts reuse rate of up to 84% by weight. These remanufactured printers will meet the same standards of quality and reliability as new products.
Backed by FOPH’s advanced manufacturing technology and skilled workforce, the center will adopt high-precision assembly techniques developed in Japan. Fujifilm Business Innovation will also train local personnel to lead remanufacturing efforts, enhancing technical expertise and workforce development in the Philippines.
The country’s central location in Asia-Pacific offers strategic advantages for logistics and supply chains—key factors in selecting Laguna for the CMC. The facility will initially focus on remanufacturing the award-winning A3 color ApeosPort-VII printer.
This move builds on Fujifilm’s long-standing commitment to environmental sustainability. Since 1995, the company has been implementing a resource circulation system. Since then, it has expanded similar operations in China and The Netherlands.
