Three Filipino students recently got the chance to sharpen their automotive skills in South Korea as part of Hyundai Motor Company’s 2026 Hyundai Service Talent Academy.
The students—Ace Local, John Palisoc, and Joseph Bajar Jr.—are all Automotive Servicing students at Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) Makati, a partner institution of Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) under its Hyundai Accelerate program. The initiative helps automotive students access specialized training and career opportunities at select Hyundai dealerships.
Held over five days, this year’s Hyundai Service Talent Academy brought together 18 students and 10 instructors from partner institutions across eight countries in Asia and Europe, including the Philippines.
At Hyundai’s Cheonan Global Learning Center, participants took part in practical training on electric vehicle (EV) and battery fundamentals, vehicle communication networks, charging systems, the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The participants also visited key Hyundai Motor Group facilities, including the Hyundai Steel Dangjin Plant and Hyundai Motor Asan Plant, where they learned about steel production and vehicle manufacturing. They likewise toured Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang to explore the brand’s vehicles and philosophy.
The program aims to give aspiring service professionals a broader understanding of how automotive technology, manufacturing, and after-sales service work together to support vehicle quality and customer satisfaction.
Participating instructors will will bring their newly acquired knowledge back to their schools and incorporate Hyundai-specific training into their curricula.
Hyundai Motor plans to continue working with educational institutions, overseas subsidiaries, and dealership networks to help prepare qualified graduates for careers in its global sales and service network.
