Epson Philippines recently completed the initial phase of its “Trash to Treasure” program, highlighting the company’s focus on sustainability and community involvement.

Launched in 2023, the program encourages employees to donate specific types of clean plastic waste, such as bottles, containers, and bags.

At the end of the year, Epson Philippines collected 162 kilograms of clean plastic, which were donated to Pasig City’s Environmental Resources and Waste Management Office (CENRO). CENRO’s partner organizations then upcycled the plastic into various items like vases and chairs.

“In launching our ‘Trash to Treasure’ program, we are actively addressing waste management while demonstrating Epson’s commitment to responsible practices,” said Masako Kusama, Epson Philippines President and Director. “This initiative reflects our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact on our environment and support the communities we serve.”

Epson focuses on eco-friendly initiatives through innovative technologies, corporate projects, and integration of recycled materials in products and packaging.

According to Epson, it will continue the “Trash to Treasure” program as part of its environmental stewardship efforts.
