Epson Philippines Corporation gathered members of the media at Discovery Samal in Davao del Norte for Fusion 17, its annual engagement event that continues to foster meaningful conversations around innovation, sustainability, and shared responsibility.
Now in its 17th year, Fusion continues to bring together stakeholders for conversations about Epson’s latest innovations and future direction. Anchored on the theme ECOPRINT, this year’s event emphasized how small, everyday actions can collectively create lasting positive impact.
During the event’s Brand Talk session, Epson executives shared how sustainability remains deeply integrated into the company’s operations and long-term strategy, including its Engineered Future 2035 vision. The discussion highlighted Epson’s efforts to develop technologies that address business needs while minimizing environmental impact.

“At Epson, sustainability is part of how we work every day. It guides the way we develop our technologies, run our business, and work with our partners and communities,” said Masako Kusama, President and Director of Epson Philippines Corporation. “This reflects the impact that grows from these everyday actions. Through Fusion, we are grateful for the opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and continue building meaningful partnerships.”
Among the innovations showcased were Epson’s Heat-Free technology and energy-efficient printing solutions, which help businesses reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
The company also shared its internal sustainability efforts, including waste segregation, recycling initiatives, and the employee-led Trash to Treasure campaign. In fiscal year 2025 alone, Epson Philippines collected more than 1,100 kilograms each of plastic waste and shredded paper for recycling and upcycling.
Epson likewise highlighted partnerships that extend its sustainability efforts beyond the workplace, including its collaboration with WWF-Philippines in Pio Duran, Albay to strengthen community-based waste management programs.
The company also highlighted its Corporate Waste Collection Program, first piloted in Davao and later expanded to Cebu, helping channel partners properly collect, dispose of, and recycle used consumables and other waste materials.

To cap off the event, media participants joined the Samal Challenge, an island-wide activity designed to promote teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving.
Through meaningful discussions and shared experiences, Fusion 17 reinforced Epson’s commitment to making sustainability an everyday practice—one built on innovation, consistency, and collaboration.
