Eastwood Richmonde Hotel (ERH) recently marked its 15th anniversary together with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, hosting a simple yet heartfelt gathering of longtime patrons, media partners, and distinguished guests.
The event carried the theme “15 and Beyond: Forward Filipino Hospitality,” honoring the hotel’s homegrown identity and its continued efforts to promote Filipino culture.
Jun Justo, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts NCR+ Cluster General Manager and ERH General Manager, opened the program by recalling the hotel’s legacy as the first hotel within Megaworld Corporation’s inaugural township, Eastwood City. This milestone, he noted, became a blueprint for Megaworld’s future developments.
An audiovisual presentation followed, paying tribute to ERH’s employees—fondly called Enrichers—whose dedication has shaped the brand’s signature warm and attentive service.

Distinguished guests delivered congratulatory messages, including Megaworld Corporation President and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso; Department of Tourism Undersecretary Maria Rica Bueno; Jong Sumpiaco of the Quezon City Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office, representing Mayor Joy Belmonte; and Megaworld Hotels and Resorts (MHR) Managing Director Cleofe Albiso.
They highlighted ERH’s role in boosting local tourism, supporting community growth, and preserving Filipino hospitality through MHR’s Sampaguita service philosophy and its commitment to sustainable and inclusive tourism.
The program concluded with a celebratory toast led by MHR Group General Manager Art Boncato, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the hotel’s Christmas tree and Sampaguita-inspired Capiz lantern.

Guests were then treated to performances by Harana, a vocal group of Kundirana alumni, before heading to Eastwood Café+Bar for a curated six-course Filipino-inspired dinner prepared by MHR Corporate Chef Panky Lopez and ERH Executive Chef Peter Paluga.

As ERH enters its next chapter, the hotel reaffirms its mission to provide meaningful stays and thoughtful Filipino hospitality.
