Geeky conventions are back—and they are bigger than ever!
This year, conventions are finally making a comeback after the lockdowns and event restrictions of the pandemic. Probably one with the biggest lineup to date is CONQuest Festival 2022—dubbed the Philippines’ premier gaming and pop culture festival that celebrates gaming, technology, anime, and pop culture as a whole.
To mark its comeback, CONQuest 2022 is pulling all the stops. There will be star-studded meet-and-greets, appearances from blockbuster streamers and casters, fun-filled panels with content creators and artists, and exciting activities to celebrate the geek in everyone.
Here are all the reasons you should get a ticket to the CONQuest Festival 2022—and why you should do it now because tickets are selling out fast!
Star-studded meet-and-greets
Gamers, it’s time to meet the voices you only ever hear on your screens! This year, CONQuest is bringing together some of the most popular local and international names in Philippine gaming.
For Genshin Impact fans, you’ll have a blast meeting Raiden Shogun’s English VA, Anne Yatco; Yae Miko’s English VA, Ratana; Thoma’s English VA, Christian Banas; Sayu’s English VA, LilyPichu; and streamers Atsu and Nekkopii.
Twitch mainstays will get a chance to chat with VTubers Bao and Senz, while YouTubers will instantly recognize content creator Michael Reeves.
You’ll also meet blockbuster streamers Razzie, Een, Peenoise Realm, Tuonto, BTMC, and Kyedae.
And if you follow the esports scene, you won’t want to miss the iconic V33Wise duo of Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” del Rosario.
All meet-and-greets include a 90-minute photograph and Q&A session, and comes as a separate add-on purchase to regular day passes.
Guests for all genres
If you don’t have the extra cash to spend on the meet-and-greets, there are tons of other guests that you can bump elbows with throughout the convention.
For comics fans, look forward to some mind-blowing art from Aeonix, Hunghang, Little Things, Sskait, and Libreng Komiks.
For anime fans, there are cosplayers and content creators to bring your fantasy to life such as Liui Aquino, Kitz Cua, and Kang Dupet.
For the gamers, a handful of casters and content creators are also joining the party: Santie, Daks, Midnight, Riku, Maggiekarp, Mika Fabs, Uomi, and KrisRey.
And did we mention the Lord of Sheesh, JiConyo, himself will be making an appearance? Fun!
Exciting games and activities
If you want to take a break from walking around from booth to booth, you can shake it off with the many events and games happening around the convention area.
Find a panel you’d be interested in and learn from the best. Join Questathon, where you battle off with other pairs to win the trophy. Battle it out with other salty players over a heated game of Tekken 7. You can even experience over 80 consoles across the years at the CONQuest Festival 2022 Retro Arcade booth powered by Tito Steef.
If you want to represent the Philippines in Korea’s Gyeonggi International Cosplay Festival (GICOF) happening in September, you can also join the Philippine Preliminary Championship happening on Day 2 of CONQuest Festival 2022. Registration is still open!
There are also tons of educational content under the AcadArena Esports and Gaming Industry Summit such as campus esports and education, career development of students for the esports industry, and conversations on the role of esports and gaming in youth development.
These and more events will be spread out on the convention floor throughout the two days of Conquest Festival. Stay tuned to CONQquest’s Facebook page to get updated on new announcements of events and activities.
