BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, successfully concluded its first BYD Tech Tour in Mindanao, held from June 27 to 29 in Cagayan de Oro.

The event highlighted the brand’s push to make electric mobility more accessible in the region. It offered Kagay-anons the opportunity to experience BYD’s latest electric vehicles (EVs) through interactive exhibits and test drives.

The CDO leg featured BYD’s growing EV lineup, including the Seal 5 DM-i, Sealion 6 DM-i, eMax 7, Shark 6 DMO, and the newly launched subcompact SUV, Sealion 5 DM-i.

The event also included immersive technology showcases, allowing attendees to explore the benefits of EV ownership firsthand.

“The BYD Tech Tour provides an important touchpoint for customers to learn more about the advantages and benefits of electric mobility, and also experience the impressive line-up of BYD, the Global No.1 New Energy Vehicle brand,” said Adam Hu, BYD Philippines Country Head.

Supporting this shift to electric mobility is ACMobility’s expanding EV charging network. The company has activated nine charging locations across Mindanao, with more set to go live by year-end, including one in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

As of June 2025, ACMobility operates over 230 charge points nationwide and aims to reach over 700 by year-end through its Philippine EV Spine initiative. Through its partnership with Evro, ACMobility offers EV users a convenient way to locate charging stations, monitor charging, and make cashless payments all in one app.
