AC Motors has officially launched the BYD Atto 3 in the country, an electric vehicle crossover first previewed at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.

The Atto 3 is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor (204hp, 310Nm) paired with BYD’s Blade battery. The Atto 3 Dynamic variant has a 49.92kWh battery that provides a range of 410km, while the Premium has a 60.48kWh battery with up to 480km of range. The former can go from 0 to 100kph in 7.9 seconds, while the latter achieves it in 7.3 seconds.

The Atto 3 is  also capable of providing power in the event of natural emergencies, thanks to its  V2L function. Adding to its arsenal of EV tech features is regenerative braking.

Inside, the centerpiece of the Atto 3 is the 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display that can be oriented in landscape or portrait layouts. This massive display is where drivers can manage connectivity with via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and control vehicle functions.

The BYD Atto 3 also comes with a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6- or 8-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, 60:40 split rear seats, leather seats, a wireless phone charger, and a panoramic sunroof.

Standard across the range are LED headlamps, taillamps, and DRLs; front and side airbags; traction control, and electronic stability control.

The Premium variant, on the other hands, gets additional safety features, which include a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and emergency lane keeping assist. It also gets side curtain airbags.

  • BYD Atto 3 Dynamic: P1,598,000
  • BYD Atto 3 Premium: P1,798,000
