Imagine having one screen at home for checking who’s at the front door, making video calls with family, playing your favorite music, and keeping dinner on track. The new Apple HomeView brings these everyday tasks together in a single 7-inch display that doubles as an entertainment hub and a control center for compatible smart home devices.
Designed for shared household use, the smart display can recognize up to six users and display personalized apps and widgets on each person’s Home Screen. Personal information in apps such as Messages, Calendar, and Reminders remains private, while shared photo albums and music give the whole household access to common content.

The display adjusts its brightness to suit different environments, including dim bedrooms at night. Its tabletop version features an aluminum body, a stainless steel hinge for adjusting the viewing angle, and a domed speaker base. It comes in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray. A wall-mounted version is also available in silver and space gray.

For entertainment, HomeView supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, and compatible third-party apps. Its speaker system combines Spatial Audio with a built-in woofer, while Handoff lets users transfer audio playback from an iPhone by bringing the phone near the display. Multiple compatible devices can also be connected for multiroom audio.
The wall-mounted model brings full, balanced sound with two custom drivers and computational audio tuned specifically for on-wall placement, along with support for Spatial Audio.
As a communication hub, HomeView supports FaceTime calls with Center Stage, voice-controlled Messages, and Intercom announcements between rooms. In the kitchen, users can follow recipes, manage timers, and track ingredients hands-free.

For home monitoring, compatible cameras can send notifications about people, pets, packages, and vehicles, with supported iCloud+ features. HomeView can also detect smoke or carbon monoxide alarm sounds and send alerts to an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. It works with compatible Apple Home and Matter accessories for managing connected devices.
HomeView retails for $299, but local pricing and availability have yet to be announced on Apple Philippines’ website.
