MG Philippines held the official preview of the IM LS7, an all-electric crossover SUV under the manufacturer’s premium EV marque, at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2024.

The LS7’s electric battery pushes a maximum of 570hp and a peak torque of 725Nm, propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100kph in 4.5 seconds.

It can travel up to 530km on a full charge, with the option to extend range further using Super-Eco Mode.

IM sourced best-in-class global suppliers to create the LS7’s “all-star chassis.” This includes advanced air suspension from Continental, damping control from Bilstein, a front four-piston fixed caliper from Brembo, and high-performance EV tires from Michelin, among others.

The EV features a Starfall front windshield for an impressive 106-degree vertical view, akin to IMAX-level visibility. Its automatic power and frameless doors create a sleek appearance, while double-layer laminated glass windows provide excellent insulation against external noise.

Step inside the LS7 and you’ll be greeted by an adjustable 42-inch triple screen and Zero Gravity Seats with a luxurious 16-point massage feature and ventilation. It boasts 24 speakers, including headrest and sky speakers, for an immersive sound experience.

Additionally, the LS7 introduces industry-first pre-site deodorization and formaldehyde removal, ensuring clean air inside the car for over 180 days of use.

The LS7 also features an Evolvable Intelligent Driving Assistance System with advanced technology, including 11 HD cameras, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, two LiDARs, and an NVIDIA Orin X chip. Its one-touch iAD system assists drivers in navigating urban road scenarios like tight maneuvers and parking.

The LS7 prioritizes safety with its high-proportional submarine-grade steel and a hard top cage structure for protection. Its chassis boasts high torsional stiffness, enhancing ride quality and part longevity. Additionally, the car includes seven airbags for optimal safety.

On the software side, the LS7 enhances safety with its novel Rainy Night Mode, an AI-powered driving assist that continuously presents a real-time image of its A-pillar and rear-side blind zones on both sides of its triple display. It instantly identifies and highlights elements in traffic, such as pedestrians, bicycles, and other vehicles.

The IM LS7 is set to be available later this year, with pre-orders already open at the MG booth at the SMX Convention Center. According to MG, the EV’s indicative pricing is P4 million.
