Motorsports fans are in for a high-octane weekend as the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup launches its 12th season with the debut of a new race car and a free racing festival in Cavite.
The opening race weekend will be held from March 13 to 15 along a 2.4-kilometer street circuit in Riverpark, General Trias. Admission is free, giving families and car enthusiasts an accessible way to experience live racing just about 35 minutes from Metro Manila.
Organized by Toyota Motor Philippines, the TGR Philippine Cup has been bringing grassroots motorsports closer to Filipinos since 2014. Last year alone, more than 12,000 spectators trooped to Bacoor, Cavite for a mix of racing, car displays, and live entertainment.
This season’s headline attraction is the debut of the Next Generation Tamaraw OMR (one-make-race car), joining the Vios OMR on the starting grid. Built as a same-spec race machine, the Tamaraw OMR levels the playing field, putting the spotlight squarely on driver skill. It will compete under a new Tamaraw Racing Class, with racers battling it out in Sprint Races.
Fans will see Team Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines take on seasoned champions from other top racing teams, promising tight, competitive action throughout the weekend. A total of 30 drivers are set to compete across different classes, including the returning Sporting, Super Sporting, and Legacy Classes featuring the Vios OMR.
Apart from the races, visitors can check out Toyota GR performance models, Lexus vehicles, and upcoming Toyota releases such as the RAV4 and Urban Cruiser. There will also be official GR merchandise on sale, as well as e-motorsports simulators for those who want to try sim racing.
Members of Toyota car clubs can also look forward to an exclusive track day where they can experience the streets of Riverpark with their performance vehicles.
