The original manga by the legendary Yoshihiro Togashi made waves when it was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for four years from 1990.

The anime was aired in the Philippines as Ghost Fighter in the ’90s.

Get ready for a nostalgic journey and a fresh perspective on this classic as it takes a thrilling new form on the streaming platform.

According to Netflix, they committed to maintaining the same high standards of quality and authenticity in producing the live-action Yu Yu Hakusho as they did with One Piece.

An international dream team was assembled to bring the epic tale to the screen, tapping into the most advanced CG and VFX technologies from around the world. Known as “the most innovative VFX studio in the world” and lauded for their work on major Hollywood productions, Scanline VFX was instrumental in giving life to all the characters, both human and yokai (spirits), while delivering realistic battle action sequences.

It took five years to complete the production of Yu Yu Hakusho, and the team painstakingly worked to accurately capture each character’s emotions in the adaptation. By blending advanced technology with a passion for staying faithful to the original material, this adaptation promises to be a standout in the world of live-action anime.
