Yamaha Motor Philippines recently unveiled the new Yamaha YZF-R15M, a motorcycle crafted for riders who desire high-performance riding both on and off the track.
Now available in the local market, the R15M can be had in two color variations: Icon Performance (see below) with an SRP of P189,500 and Anniversary White (WGP 60th Anniversary edition) with an SRP of P193,500.
Powering the new YZF-R15M is a 155cc LC4V SOHC F.I. engine that promotes powerful thrust without sacrificing fuel efficiency. This is complemented by an assist and slipper clutch, traction control system, and quick shifter—a first in a Yamaha single-cylinder motorcycle for quick, smooth, clutchless, full-throttle upshifts.
The bike’s aerodynamic body features revamped fairings for high-speed stability. When the rider is in a racing tuck, the low profile and small frontal projected area work well with the M1-styled bubble windscreen to help keep oncoming wind from being pulled in around the rider.
The R15M is equipped with a new bi-functional LED headlight that emits both low and high beams. Meanwhile, the LCD instrument panel features new indicators for shift timing, traction control system, and individual left and right turn signals.
Rounding out the features are upside down front forks, dual channel ABS, 140mm super wide tires, an aluminum swing arm, meter panel switch, top cap engraved with logo, and a gray muffler guard.
The R15M is available at YZONE, Yamaha Rev Zones, and 3S Shops nationwide.
