Big-screen phones are great—until you have to carry one around. The new Xiaomi 18 Fold aims to solve that trade-off by folding down to roughly the size of a passport and opening up into a 7.58-inch tablet-like display when you need more screen space.

At 219g, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is the lightest Xiaomi foldable yet. It measures 117.8 x 83.6mm when folded and 10.68mm thick, while unfolding it reveals a 5.02mm-thin body and 7.58-inch inner display. Its 5.38-inch outer screen is designed for comfortable one-handed use.

Despite its slim and lightweight design, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is one durable device. It combines a 7000-series aluminum alloy frame, Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0, and a three-link hinge for added protection, while its inner display uses two layers of Ultra Thin Glass. Xiaomi says the design delivers 258% higher impact resistance and can withstand drops of up to 1.2m, while keeping the display crease to an average depth of no more than 30μm.

Powering the phone is the 3nm Xiaomi XRING O3, featuring a 10-core CPU, 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU, and quad-core NPU. It supports LPDDR6 memory with up to 113.8GB/s bandwidth and delivers up to 200 TOPS of AI performance.

For photography, you get a Leica triple-camera system with a 200-megapixel f/1.7 main camera with OIS, a 50MP f/2.4 ultrawide, and a 50MP f/2.8 3.5x telephoto camera. There’s also a 16MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout on both the inner and outer displays.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold also features HyperRGB displays with 4,000-nit peak brightness and 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rates, a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, Wi-Fi 7, UWB, and Astral Communication covering more than 210 countries and regions.

There’s also a Ceramic Edition with a silicon nitride ceramic back panel, a first for smartphones. It offers a smooth, premium feel while being about 50% lighter than traditional zirconia ceramic.
