Chris Pratt steps into the animated world yet again, this time as the voice of the world’s most famous fat cat.

The official trailer forThe Garfield Movie shows how the lazy orange tabby first met his ‘owner’ Jon Arbuckle. The clip shows a young Garfield seeking shelter in an alley across from an Italian restaurant. The smell of pizza lures him across the street, where Jon is dining alone. After spotting Garfield in the window, he lets the orange cat into the restaurant and they bond over pizza—cementing their relationship.

“And that’s how I adopted Jon,” Garfield tells the audience.

Garfield, Odie, and Jon enjoy a comfortable, lasagna-filled life at home. But after an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father—scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson)—Garfield and Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

Directed by Mark Dindal, from a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan & Mark Torgove and David Reynolds, The Garfield Movie is based on the Garfield characters created by Jim Davis. The film is distributed in the Philippines by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.
