After a successful first season that captivated audiences worldwide, Netflix’s live-action One Piece series has officially started production on Season 2. To celebrate this, the streaming giant released a video featuring the real-life Straw Hat crew reuniting.
The video sees Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu Arata (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) reunite in South Africa, the filming location for the series.
Based on Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga, One Piece follows the epic journey of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they navigate the treacherous Grand Line in search of the ultimate treasure, the One Piece.
Season 1 saw Luffy and his crew conquer the East Blue, defeating notorious pirates like Buggy the Clown (Jeff Ward) and Arlong (McKinley Belcher III). However, the real adventure is just beginning.
Netflix recently shared a string of new cast members joining the high seas adventure.
It has also been announced that Ilia Isorelys Paulino (Alvida), Jeff Ward (Buggy), and Michael Dorman (Gold Roger) will be returning for Season 2.
