vivo has officially confirmed that the vivo X Fold5—its most advanced smartphone yet—is launching in the Philippines this August. This marks the brand’s first foldable release in Southeast Asia.
At just 217 grams and measuring 4.3mm thin when unfolded, the vivo X Fold5 is a slim and light foldable device. Its strength lies in the 2nd-Gen Armor Architecture and Carbon Fiber Support Hinge—crafted from aerospace-grade steel—making it 47.3% tougher than its predecessor while minimizing screen creasing.
As of writing the vivo X Fold5 is the only foldable in the world with triple water-resistance ratings—IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+—along with IP5X dust protection. Tested to withstand 600,000 folds and extreme temperatures as low as -20°C, this phone is built for real-world challenges.
Under the hood is a massive 6000mAh BlueVolt battery powered by next-gen silicon anode and semi-solid battery tech, ensuring all-day productivity without bulk.

It also features a co-engineered camera system with ZEISS, featuring a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera and vivo’s image-processing engine.
