UNIQLO is tapping into pure ‘90s nostalgia with its latest UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) collaboration, this time celebrating the 30th anniversary of Tamagotchi—the beloved beeping virtual pet that defined a generation.
The new capsule features four women’s T-shirt designs inspired by the original pixel art of the classic device, making it a wearable tribute for long-time fans and new collectors alike.
Each shirt highlights a different slice of Tamagotchi history. One design pays homage to the very first Tamagotchi model, with a game screen featuring Kuchipatchi—instantly recognizable to anyone who spent recess sneaking feeds and cleanups under a desk.

Another keeps it simple with a Tamagotchi logo in front and a bright lineup of pixel characters—Ginjirotchi, Kuchipatchi, Mametchi, Mimitchi, and Pochitchi—splashed across the back.

A third piece features an embroidered design of Mametchi, a reward familiar only to those who patiently raised their digital pet to perfection. The back print design has scenes unique to their training games.

The final shirt shows Mametchi’s full life cycle, from egg to full character, capturing the joy (and heartbreak) of virtual pet parenthood.

The collection launch comes with a special website featuring UT original mini-games, where Mametchi pops out from its shell and gathers falling items while dressed in UT.
