Thinking of traveling to Baguio soon? You might want to book a ride on one of the new Scania Marcopolo Paradiso buses of Genesis Transport Services, Inc. (GTSI).

BJ Mercantile, Inc. (BJM), the exclusive distributor of Scania in the country, recently turned over the first four of the initial 10 Scania Marcopolo Paradiso buses ordered by GTSI as part of the bus company’s bid to upgrade its JoyBus fleet servicing the Manila-Baguio route.

The Scania Marcopolo Paradiso JoyBus offers exceptional comfort, safety, and convenience. Its 28 VIP seats are bigger, wider, and softer than standard upgraded seats. With ample legroom, large overhead compartments, USB charging ports, a well-appointed toilet, and a personal video-on-board Bus Pad, passengers can enjoy a top-notch travel experience.

The bus’ powerful 360hp engine mated to an 8-speed Scania Opticruise Gearbox effortlessly handles the climb to the City of Pines. For safety, it features Scania ESP (electronic stability program) to monitor stability and trigger controls. Meanwhile, the Scania Retarder acts as secondary brakes to prevent over-speeding, especially when traveling down Marcos Highway or Kennon Road.

The Scania Marcopolo Paradiso JoyBus meets Euro 5 emission standards and features reliable, durable powertrains that can save up to 9% on fuel. Equipped with a Fleet Management System (FMS), it enables GTSI to monitor driver performance, vehicle data, and fleet position, providing essential information for operational excellence.
