If you’ve ever opened TikTok “for five minutes” and looked up an hour later, TikTok’s new Time and Well-being Page is meant for you. The new in-app hub helps users pause, reset, and build healthier scrolling habits, with a particular focus on supporting teens and younger users.

The new page brings together mindfulness tools, creator-led guidance, and interactive features aimed at giving users greater control over their digital experiences.

During the launch event, TikTok hosted a panel discussion on how the Time and Well-being page provides practical strategies and tools to engage with the platform more intentionally.

“The Time and Well-being Page was created to give our community tools to engage mindfully with TikTok and develop digital habits that truly serve them,” said Peachy Paderna, Public Policy Manager for the Philippines at TikTok. “These tools reflect TikTok’s proactive approach to online safety, built on ongoing collaboration experts, to ensure that every user is able to enjoy a safe and personalized experience on the platform,” she added.

“The digital space is already part of everyday life, especially for young people. That’s why having tools that encourage mindful breaks is so crucial,” said Riyan Portuguez, a psychologist and digital wellness advocate and creator. “Instead of restricting social media usage, a more sustainable approach is helping people manage their digital lives intentionally. Tools like TikTok’s Time and Well-being features help users, pause, reflect, and develop healthy digital habits,” she emphasized.

Accessible via Account Settings, the Time and Well-being Page is guided by academic research and centers on balance rather than strict limits. New tools include an affirmation journal with over 120 intention-setting cards, a soothing sound generator featuring calming audio like rainfall and ocean waves, and guided breathing exercises to help reduce stress.

The page also introduces Well-being Missions—interactive challenges that promote purposeful technology use. These include Sleep Hours, Daily and Weekly Screen Time, and a Well-being Ambassador mission that encourages shared participation. Together, these features aim to make mindful digital habits simple, engaging, and sustainable.
