The Creator, 20th Century Studios’ epic sci-fi action thriller directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla (2014), Rogue One) is making its much-awaited Disney+ debut on December 20.
The film, which was released in Philippine theaters in September this year, is set in a future where humanity clashes with artificial intelligence in a devastating war.
Joshua (John David Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Gemma Chan), is enlisted to track down and eliminate the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI that has crafted a mysterious weapon capable of ending the war—and mankind itself.
Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (Madeleine Yuna Voyles).
The film also stars Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney.
