Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially kicked off its e-motorsports season with the launch of the refreshed Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines eSports GT Championship 2025 (TGR PH eSports GT Championship), the country’s premier virtual racing competition.
Qualifiers are ongoing until September 14.
The tournament gathers the nation’s top sim racers in adrenaline-pumping sprint races using the Gran Turismo 7 game on PlayStation.
Winners will take home cash prizes, exclusive GR merchandise, and slots at the prestigious Toyota Gazoo Racing Academy. The Top 3 finishers also earn the right to represent the Philippines at the Asia Finals in Thailand, where they will race against the region’s best.
Participants must be a permanent resident or citizen of the Philippines and reside in the Philippines during the tournament schedule. Players under 18 need guardian consent.
Qualifiers can be completed online—requiring a PlayStation 4 or 5, a PSN account with PS PLUS subscription, and a copy of Gran Turismo 7—or offline at select Toyota GR Performance dealerships, which can be found on the official TGR PH eSports GT Championship Facebook Group. Offline participants simply need a valid government ID for verification. Interested participants may register via this link to schedule their qualifiers.
From the qualifiers, the Top 40 players will advance to the quarterfinals at Ayala Malls Manila Bay on October 11, narrowing to 20 for the semifinals and national finals on October 12.
The quarterfinals, which will narrow down the pool to the Top 20, will be held on-site at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Pasay City on October 11. This will be followed by the semifinals and national finals on October 12.
Since debuting in 2020, TGR Philippines’ e-motorsports program has served as a launchpad for aspiring racers. Top performers progress to real-world racing through TMP’s flagship TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippine Cup, where they get behind the wheel of the Vios one-make-race (OMR) car. Notably, former e-motorsports champions Russel Reyes and Luis Moreno went on to win the Novice Class title in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
