Update (February 10): The LinBuds Clip are now available at all Sony Centres and authorized dealers nationwide for P11,999.

Sony is rethinking how we listen on the go with the LinkBuds Clip, a new kind of open-clip earbud designed for people who want their music and their surroundings—no pausing, no pulling earbuds out, no awkward “sorry, what did you say?” moments.

The LinkBuds Clip look less like traditional earbuds and more like a modern ear accessory. Their open design allows you to enjoy your music without shutting out the world, keeping you aware of what’s happening around you whether you’re commuting, grabbing coffee, or moving through a busy workday.

Because the LinkBuds Clip don’t seal your ear canal, they feel lighter and more breathable, reducing ear fatigue over long listening sessions. You can talk to people naturally without removing the buds, making them especially appealing for offices, campuses, or shared spaces.

According to Sony, the design was shaped by customer feedback, resulting in a unique open structure that fits comfortably on a wide range of ears. The C-shaped form, combined with a flexible upper band, keeps the earbuds stable without pressure. Optional fitting cushions let users fine-tune the fit.

Despite the open design, LinkBuds Clip don’t compromise on control. With simple tap gestures, users can switch between three listening modes depending on the moment: standard, voice boost, and sound leakage reduction modes.

Drawing on tuning expertise from its flagship 1000X series, the earbuds deliver natural, expansive sound that holds up even with an open structure. Features such as DSEE music upscaling, 360 Reality Audio for a personalized immersive experience, and a customizable 10-band EQ (via the Sony | Sound Connect app) give listeners plenty of room to tailor their sound.

For calls, the LinkBuds Clip feature a bone conduction sensor paired with AI-based noise reduction to capture your voice clearly while cutting down background noise.

Battery life stretches up to 37 hours, with quick charging that delivers an hour of playback from just three minutes of charging. There’s also IPX4 water resistance for sweat and rain, Multipoint Connection for easy switching between devices, and scene-based listening that adapts sound to your activity.

The ear-cuff-inspired look comes in multiple color options, and you can personalize them further with optional case covers.

Meanwhile, the packaging is completely plastic-free, and around 20% of the total plastic used in the product comes from recycled materials.

The LinkBuds Clip will soon be available in the country, according to a post from Sony Philippines.
