Following the announcement that AC Motors as the new official Philippine distributor of BYD passenger vehicles, former BYD distributor Solar Transport revealed that it will shift its focus to being a dealer of BYD electric vehicles. It will also continue to maintain a pivotal role as one of the major dealership operators.
Solar Transport remains dedicated to its commitment of promoting environmentally conscious transportation solutions, while supporting the efforts of BYD to fortify the electric vehicle (EV) industry in the country.
In line with this, Solar Transport will soon open a new 4,000sqm flagship dealership along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City. This state-of-the-art facility will have two floors, a full-service center, and a grand showroom showcasing all fully electric BYD products available in the country.
Solar Transport and Automotive Resources Corp. has been a trailblazing pioneer in EV distribution in the Philippines since 2013. It has showcased the lineup of BYD powerhouse models, including the Dolphin, Han, and Tang EVs. While Solar Transport will now be a dealer, it will work together with AC Motors and continue to serve as the authorized distributor of BYD material handling equipment across the country.
Aside from the new dealership in Quezon Avenue, Solar Transport continues to operate the BYD dealership in Makati. Future dealership expansions are in the pipeline.
