Smart Communications, Inc. and esports and digital company Dark League Studios have teamed up for a multi-year partnership to support amateur esports leagues across the country to further boost the growth of Philippine esports.
As part of their shared vision, Smart and Dark League Studios aim to discover and develop world-class Filipino esports athletes through grassroots tournaments, roadshows, mini conferences, community programs, and content production, among others.
Dark League Studios has spearheaded different esports leagues, including the PBA Esports Bakbakan and the Kings and Queens League. It recently held a Tekken 7 tournament in hopes of strengthening the grassroots in the local fighting game community.
