Smart Communications, Inc. highlighted its push to make gaming more accessible to Filipinos at the Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX) 2026, where it showcased its partnership with Blacknut and gave attendees a firsthand look at the country’s first cloud gaming platform for Smart and TNT subscribers.

Held July 24 to 26 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, PGDX brought together game developers, publishers, creators, and gaming enthusiasts.

At the Smart booth, visitors were able to try Blacknut Cloud Gaming, which gives Smart and TNT subscribers access to more than 1,000 console- and PC-quality games that can be played directly on smartphones. The service eliminates the need for expensive gaming hardware or lengthy game downloads.

Weekly subscriptions start at P145 and can be charged to prepaid load following a simple one-time password (OTP) verification process. Attendees also took part in interactive activities at the booth, with prizes including gaming skin codes up for grabs.

Smart also highlighted its Power All offers, which provide open-access data for activities ranging from cloud and mobile gaming to streaming, content sharing, and online work or school.

The telco said its participation in PGDX supports its efforts to build a more complete gaming ecosystem by pairing mobile connectivity with digital entertainment services.

Smart continues to position its mobile network as an important part of the gaming experience. Its network was recently recognized for Best Mobile Video Experience and Best Mobile Latency in the Philippines.
