Cebu continues to expand its appeal as a destination for business, tourism, and lifestyle. South Road Properties (SRP), in particular, is emerging as a major hub, with developments creating more reasons for Cebuanos and visitors to gather, dine, shop, stay, and experience major events.
At the heart of the entertainment landscape is the SM Seaside Cebu Arena, which expands Cebu’s capacity to host major concerts, sporting events, live performances, and large-scale gatherings. Its first events included BINI’s Signals World Tour and IV of Spades’ Andalucia Tour, with more productions scheduled through the year.
The upcoming lineup includes TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan’s In Between concert on September 5; Hillsong Worship Nights Asia Tour on September 18; Yeng Constantino’s Biyaheng Bente 20th Anniversary Concert on September 20; and Bida Sa Arena: The Rematch, a celebrity basketball game, on September 26.
International acts and family entertainment will follow, with LANY’s Soft World Tour on November 6 and 12 and Disney On Ice presents Let’s Dance! from November 28 to December 6.
The arena will also host the 2027 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup in July 2027, marking the first time the premier women’s basketball competition in Asia will be staged in Cebu. Eight national teams are expected to compete for the continental title.
The wider district is also taking shape. South Coast City, an emerging development beside SM Seaside City Cebu, is envisioned as a connected destination where different experiences can come together. This will complement the existing lifestyle offerings of SM Seaside City Cebu and the entertainment draw of the SM Seaside Cebu Arena.
Future developments are expected to add to this mix, including the SMX Convention Center Seaside Cebu and the dual-branded Park Inn by Radisson and Radisson Hotel. As they progress, these projects are planned to support conventions, meetings, accommodations, and business and leisure travel.
Together, the developments are contributing to the transformation of the SRP into a more dynamic urban destination.
