SM Prime Holdings Inc., in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), led the groundbreaking ceremony of the EDSA Busway concourses at the SM North EDSA on February 13.
The event marked the start of the initiative to make commuting along the country’s main thoroughfare safer, more comfortable, and more convenient.
The EDSA Busway initiative is a joint program started by the DOTr, supported by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
Located strategically at SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, and SM Mall of Asia, the three concourses and access bridges will complement the DOTr’s EDSA Busway initiative.
Designed to provide safe and convenient access to the Edsa Busway Stations, these concourses will feature state-of-the-art design and facilities, including concierge services, ticketing booths, and turnstiles for the Automatic Fare Collection System.
Moreover, ramps and elevators will ensure easy access for commuters of all ages and abilities, including persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and pregnant women.

The construction of the EDSA Busway concourses in SM malls is set to be completed in the coming years.
