Land travel takes a new turn with the arrival of the first-ever Scania Sleeper Bus in the Philippines.

BJ Mercantile Incorporated, the exclusive distributor of Scania trucks, buses, and power solutions in the country, launched its latest commercial vehicle and turned over the first few units to GV Florida Transport Inc.

The bus company acquired an initial 23 units of the Scania K360 Coach Bus, four of which are configured as premium Sleeper Buses. The remaining 19 are a combination of Deluxe and Super Deluxe options.

GV Florida’s Scania Sleeper Buses have Wi-Fi on board and come with 23 spacious and comfortable Executive Sleeper Beds, each with a headrest pillow, individual USB charging ports, personal entertainment systems with headphones, and individual aisle curtains for enhanced privacy.

Passengers can also enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages, dual cup holders, blankets, shoe bags, and an on-board restroom.

The Scania K360 is powered by a Euro 5-compliant engine that produces 360hp and 1,750Nm. This is mated to an eight-speed Scania Opticruise semi-automatic gearbox with three drive modes (economy, standard, and power).

For safety, the Scania K360 features an electronic stability program, secondary brakes, hill hold, cruise control, air suspension, and CCTV cameras

Currently, the GV Florida Scania Executive Sleeper Bus travels from Manila to Tuguegarao and vice versa. A one-way ticket costs P1,800. Walk-in reservations are available at the GV Florida terminals in Sampaloc and Tuguegarao from 8am to 9pm.
