Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) held a turnover ceremony at Shangri-La The Fort on April 22 to mark the transition of leadership from outgoing President & CEO Takeshi Hara to incoming President & CEO Ritsu Imaeda.

Hara, who served in the role for three years, thanked stakeholders for their support and emphasized Mitsubishi’s corporate values. Despite challenges like the pandemic, Hara praised MMPC’s achievements and its contributions to society.

He also reiterated MMPC’s commitment to delivering top-notch vehicles and contributing significantly to society’s welfare as seen in campaigns like “Life Made Better” and “Taralets Pinas” launched during his tenure.

Incoming President Ritsu Imaeda has extensive experience in the overseas market, including assignments in Europe, Russia, and Puerto Rico.

Before his assignment to the Philippines, he served as the President & CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Sales Caribbean Inc. in Puerto Rico, similar to Hara.

Ahead of him is the challenge of continuing the stellar accomplishments his predecessor has helped achieve, including record retail sales of 81,473 units in 2023, which allowed MMPC to secure 18.5% market share in the industry.

Drawing from his extensive experience in various overseas markets, Imaeda expressed optimism about the Philippines’ growth potential and the company’s prospects in the region.

Imaeda also outlined upcoming initiatives, including the launch of new models like the Mitsubishi Xforce.
