For many Filipino drivers, breaking into the ride-hailing industry isn’t easy. The cost of a vehicle, financing requirements, boundary arrangements, and fuel expenses can keep even skilled and motivated drivers from getting started.
RENTAPASADA aims to help address those barriers.
Developed by VinFast Philippines and Green GSM, RENTAPASADA is a drive-to-earn rental program that gives qualified drivers access to a VinFast electric vehicle (EV) and the Green GSM platform, offering a more structured way to earn through ride-hailing.
Lowering the barrier to entry
Instead of requiring drivers to purchase a vehicle upfront, RENTAPASADA offers a rental-based entry point. Qualified applicants can begin the process with a P5,000 security deposit or initial registration payment, subject to Green GSM’s assessment and approval.
Applicants must also meet program requirements, including a professional driver’s license, NBI or police clearance, medical certificate, drug test, and TIN.
Once approved, drivers can use a VinFast EV without taking on the long-term financial commitment of vehicle ownership.
Access to both a vehicle and a platform
RENTAPASADA combines vehicle access with earning opportunities. Participating drivers can operate VinFast EVs such as the Herio Green and Limo Green while accepting trips through the Green GSM app.
By connecting drivers directly to both the vehicle and the ride-hailing platform, the program provides a clearer path from application to income generation.
A more structured operating model
RENTAPASADA follows a daily rental model with predictable costs. For the Herio Green, the rental fee is P1,050 per day, with a total daily deduction of P1,300 including the daily deposit component. For the Limo Green, the daily rental fee is P1,350, with a total daily deduction of P1,650.
Knowing their daily costs upfront helps drivers better estimate how much they can earn each day.
The program is also backed by the combined ecosystem of VinFast, Green GSM, and V-Green, giving drivers access to a growing charging network. Participating drivers enjoy free charging from March 13, 2026 to March 31, 2029, helping reduce operating expenses.
Green GSM also covers LTO registration, inspection fees, road maintenance fees, PAMI, vehicle insurance and CTPL, periodic maintenance, GPS installation, and assistance with the TNVS registration/application process, although drivers must still secure the required license or accreditation in their own name.
By covering selected requirements and providing application support, RENTAPASADA helps make the operating model more organized and easier to understand.
Drivers remain responsible for tolls, parking fees, traffic violations, repair costs, and TNVS registration/application fees.
Helping drivers keep more of their earnings
Under the program, drivers can receive 90 percent of trip earnings in the first year and 85 percent in the second and third years, subject to applicable government fees and taxes.
Of course, actual earnings depend on factors such as trip volume, operating hours, demand, acceptance rate, completion rate, and service quality. Drivers are also expected to complete 250 trips per month while maintaining at least 90 percent acceptance and completion rates.
But the goal of RENTAPASADA is to give drivers a better system to work with: a vehicle, a platform, operating support, charging support, and a clearer way to plan their earnings.
A practical path for drivers who want to move forward
More than putting electric vehicles on the road, RENTAPASADA gives Filipino drivers a lower-barrier path into ride-hailing.
For existing drivers, aspiring TNVS partners, and small operators, the program provides a more practical way to start earning without the upfront cost of vehicle ownership.
