Xiaomi has unveiled the REDMI Note 17 Series, introducing four new smartphones—the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and REDMI Note 17—that focus on longer battery life, faster charging, stronger durability, and upgraded displays and cameras, bringing what Xiaomi calls “REDMI Titan Durability” to the mid-range segment.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G leads the range with Xiaomi’s largest-ever smartphone battery at 10,000mAh, featuring 16% silicon content, 100W HyperCharge, and 27W reverse charging. Xiaomi says the device can deliver up to three days of battery life and a full day of use after 20 minutes of charging.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G packs an 8340mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge, while the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 each feature a 7700mAh battery with 45W turbo charging. The series’ batteries are rated to retain at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to approximately six years of typical use.
For durability, the two Pro models carry TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Durability Certification and IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. They have also undergone a 2-meter, 72-hour water-resistance test and can withstand drops of up to three meters onto granite surfaces, backed by SGS certification.
Display sizes range from 6.83 inches on the Pro models to 6.99 inches on the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17. The Pro models offer 1.5K resolution, up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, and a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform and supports up to 24GB RAM through Memory Extension. It also offers 4K 30fps video recording, dual-video recording, Xiaomi HyperAI, Google Gemini, and Circle to Search with Google, and comes with a 50MP main camera and 8MP ultrawide camera.
The REDMI Note 17 and 17 5G are powered by a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor and Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, respectively. Both devices come with a 50MP main camera and 16MP selfie shooter.
