Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi A5, a budget-friendly smartphone that brings a host of features to a wider audience.
The Redmi A5’s revamped design features a sleek flat frame with an all-new metallic-feel camera deco. It’s available in four stylish color options: Midnight Black, Sandy Gold, Lake Green, and Ocean Blue.

The phone’s slim 8.26mm body houses a 6.88-inch 120Hz display that supports wet touch technology and TÜV Rheinland-certified eye protection.
The Redmi A5 sports a 32MP AI dual camera, which includes a larger sensor for improved low-light photography. A new 8MP front camera with a soft-light ring ensures clear selfies even in dim settings.
Under the hood of this budget-friendly phone is an octa-core UNISOC T7250 processor with up to 8GB RAM (via memory extension), and is powered by a 5200mAh battery capable of over 20 hours of video playback and more than 9 hours of gaming on a single charge.

Additional features include face unlock, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio fans.
The Redmi A5 is now available in the Philippines in two variants:
- 3GB RAM + 64GB: P3,599
- 4GB RAM + 128GB: P4,099
Online sales begin today via Xiaomi’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, while in-store availability at authorized Mi Stores nationwide starts May 23.
