The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has partnered with the Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) to make cryptocurrency donations more convenient and efficient as the non-profit organization continues to aid the Filipino community.
“For decades, PRC has been a lifeline for Filipinos nationwide, especially in remote areas. Working with PDAX to facilitate Filipinos’ donations to support our vital humanitarian efforts will ensure that we are able to amplify the impact of our initiatives, thus fostering a powerful synergy between technology and compassion for lasting change,” said Richard Dick Gordon, Philippine Red Cross Chairman and CEO.
Foreign donors currently face obstacles when sending funds to Philippine-based groups due to delays and high fees from traditional financial services. PDAX Donate addresses this issue by giving NGOs access to a global donor community, allowing real-time crypto donations with lower transaction costs.
Donors can choose from 37 cryptocurrencies, including popular ones like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Contributed crypto donations are swiftly converted to Philippine Peso and directly sent to the PRC’s bank account through PDAX Donate.
