If you’re looking to spoil yourself with a new phone, then you might want to check out the soon-to-launch realme 12+ 5G.

Set to be unveiled on March 7, the realme 12+ 5G is a stylish handset that comes with a slew of solid features.

If you’re curious what these are, read on as we give you a quick look at what you can expect from the realme 12+ 5G.

Out of the box

The realme 12+ comes with a fast-charging 67W SUPERVOOC power brick coupled with a Type A to Type C USB charging cable. As promised, it delivered quite an impressive charging speed when it juiced up our test unit’s 5000mAh battery from 14% to 100% in just an hour.

In addition to the high-powered charger, the box of the realme 12+ contains a clear jelly case and a SIM card ejector, as well as the phone’s Quick Guide and Safety Guide.

Then, of course, there’s the real star: the realme 12+ 5G unit. The one sent to us comes in the Navigator Beige colorway, although the device is also available in Pioneer Green.

The phone’s back design, inspired by luxury watches, is a definitive example of elegance and glamour.

Created in collaboration with luxury watch designer Ollivier Savéo, the realme 12+ features premium vegan leather with a 3D jubilee bracelet at the center that joins the rear camera’s golden fluted bezel.  Adding more flair is the polished sunburst dial of the circular three-camera module.

This flagship-grade camera system is one that realme takes pride in because of its 50MP Sony LYT5600 lens with up to 2x in-sensor zoom. This shooter is further boosted with an 8MP wide-angle and 2MP macro sensors. At the upper center of the protruding camera module is the flash.

Meanwhile, the front features a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, which altogether makes the device a pleasure to use for a prolonged period. The front also has a punch-hole notch at the center, which houses that 16MP selfie camera.

The left side of the device is all clean without any buttons and ports, while the right has the device’s volume rocker and power button.

At the bottom, you’ll find the card slot for two nano SIMs, the USB-C port for charging, and the main speaker. Over at the top are the 3.5mm audio jack and secondary audio output to integrate stereo sound.

The realme 12+ has rounded corners yet a boxy feel because of its flat edges. It is lightweight at 190g, making the phone easy to hold.

Promising performance

Apart from the realme 12+ %G’s mod design and impressive camera system, what’s worth watching for in the device’s upcoming launch is the performance delivered by its flagship-level MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset.

In addition, the realme 12+ 5G runs realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14.

The realme 12+ 5G is slated for launch in the Philippines on March 7 at 6pm. Catch the livestream of the event on realme’s official Facebook page here. Meanwhile, stay tuned to Speed.ph for our full review of the solid and stylish device.
