POCO has officially unveiled the POCO M8 Series, composed of the POCO M8 Pro 5G and POCO M8 5G. The new lineup brings premium-style features to the midrange segment, with a strong focus on entertainment, performance, and everyday dependability.
The POCO M8 Pro 5G is an entertainment-first all-rounder equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 3200 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and eye-care certifications—perfect for long movie nights or gaming sessions. Dual 1115F speakers with Dolby Atmos and a hefty volume boost round out a very immersive audiovisual setup.
It sports a massive 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with a claimed six-year lifespan, paired with blazing-fast 100W HyperCharge that can fully top up in just 40 minutes. Add reverse charging, and it can even power up your other gadgets on the go.
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset supported by POCO’s IceLoop liquid cooling system for sustained gaming. Photography also gets a boost, thanks to a 50MP Light Fusion 800 camera with OIS, 4K video recording, and a suite of AI-powered creative tools.
For those who prefer something lighter and slimmer, the POCO M8 5G hits a sweet spot. Weighing just 178g and measuring only 7.35mm thin, it still manages to squeeze in a 6.77-inch 120Hz FLOW AMOLED display, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification, a capable Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, and a solid 5520mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
It also comes with a 50MP Light Fusion 400 main camera and upgraded 20MP selfie camera.
Design and durability stand out across the POCO M8 Series. The POCO M8 Pro 5G pairs a sleek, quad-curved design and floating camera deco with a slim 8.31mm profile, while reinforcing the build with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, SGS certification, and IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. Wet Touch Technology 2.0 keeps the screen responsive even in damp conditions.
The POCO M8 5G, meanwhile, features SGS-tested shock resistance and an IP66 rating, as well as Wet Touch Technology 2.0.
Both devices run Xiaomi HyperOS with smart features like Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
