POCO has unveiled the F9 Ultra and F9 Pro, its latest flagship smartphones designed around gaming performance, high-end displays, imaging, audio, and battery life. The new F Series also marks the next chapter of POCO’s partnership with Bose, bringing Sound by Bose technology to both models.
The POCO F9 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, while the F9 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series 5G processor. Both pair their Snapdragon platforms with the dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset, enabling Smart Frame Rate of up to 185fps. Smart Frame Rate can run alongside AI Super Resolution, while the WildBoost Engine enables 185fps gaming across more than 20 titles, with five additional games supporting 185fps through Smart Frame Rate.
Gaming controls include 4,800Hz instant touch sampling, 480Hz 10-point touch sampling, and 200Hz gyro sampling. The 3D IceLoop cooling system helps maintain performance during extended sessions. The F9 Ultra also offers up to 1TB storage.
Both models feature 185Hz HyperRGB AMOLED displays, measuring 6.9 inches on the Ultra and 6.59 inches on the Pro. HyperRGB uses a full RGB subpixel structure, while the new M11 luminescent material delivers up to 4,500 nits peak brightness and 10,000 nits for HDR. Xiaomi Vision Care provides TÜV Rheinland Quadruple Eye Care certification.
The F9 Ultra delivers 2.1-channel audio through dual 1115D stereo speakers and a 1620 independent subwoofer, while the F9 Pro pairs dual 1115F stereo speakers with a Sealed Cavity Design. Both are acoustically tuned with Sound by Bose and feature Dynamic and Balanced sound profiles, plus a Game audio mode designed for gaming.
The F9 Ultra packs an 8050mAh battery with 16% silicon-carbon content, while the Pro has 6330mAh. Both support 100W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, plus 27W wired and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.
Imaging is led by POCO’s first 200MP OIS camera system and 32MP front camera. The Ultra adds a 5x periscope telephoto with 10x lossless and 20x AI Ultra Zoom, while the Pro gets a 50MP 2.5x floating telephoto with 10cm focusing. Both support 4K Ultra HD Live cinematography.
Pricing and availability
The POCO F9 Series is available through Shopee, with the Early Bird promo running from September 1 to 16, 2026. Buyers get a free Redmi Buds 8 Active, a one-year warranty plus an additional year, and up to six months of screen replacement at any Xiaomi Service Center. Shopee Rebate offers are also available during the promo period for additional savings.
