Nothing has expanded its audio lineup with the launch of the Nothing Ear (3a), a feature-packed pair of wireless earbuds that brings premium capabilities to a more affordable price segment.
The Ear (3a) introduces Audio Snapshot, a unique feature that lets users instantly capture important audio moments directly from the earbuds. By pinching both earbuds, users can save audio from just before and after the gesture, making it useful for preserving key points from lectures, conversations, or voice notes. Clips are automatically synced to the Nothing X app, where they can be edited, shared, and transcribed into searchable text or quote cards.
The earbuds also support call and meeting recording, allowing users to store up to two hours of conversations. A notification tone alerts all participants when recording is active, while recordings are managed through the Nothing X app. According to Nothing, Audio Snapshot and call recording comply with ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and EN 18031 privacy standards.
For audio performance, the Ear (3a) features a new 12mm dynamic driver that delivers stronger bass and improved detail, along with support for LDAC streaming, Spatial Audio, and an eight-band equalizer within the companion app.
Active Noise Cancellation offers up to 45dB of noise reduction, complemented by Transparency Mode and AI-powered noise reduction through three microphones on each earbud.
The Ear (3a) retains Nothing’s signature transparent design, now available in black, white, pink, and yellow, with a new XS ear tip option for improved comfort. Battery life reaches up to 42 hours with the charging case, or up to 25 hours with Active Noise Cancellation enabled.
The Nothing Ear (3a) features an in-ear design with a silicone ear tip, which is now available in a new XS size. Each earbud is equipped with a 12mm dynamic driver, which Nothing claims delivers up to 5dB stronger bass than the Ear (a).
