The National Basketball Association (NBA) has named financial technology company Salmon as an Official Partner of the NBA in the Philippines under a new multi-year marketing partnership.
The partnership was announced Aug. 29 at NBA House Philippines 2026 presented by Gatorade at SPACE in One Ayala, Makati City. The event brought together NBA Head of Southeast Asia and Asia Marketing Sheila Rasu, NBA Asia Head of Growth and Innovation Ed Winkle, and Salmon Co-Founders George Chesakov, Pavel Fedorov, and Raffy Montemayor.

Through the partnership, Salmon will connect with basketball fans through NBA-themed consumer promotions, fan events, and NBA-branded premiums.
Starting with the 2026-27 NBA season, Salmon will also become the Presenting Partner of the NBA 3X Philippines Open, a 3-on-3 tournament featuring men’s and women’s teams alongside NBA entertainment.
“Basketball is a part of our daily lives as Filipinos, from the courts in our barangays to the TV screens in our homes, and it is woven into the country’s cultural fabric,” said Montemayor. “We want Salmon to work the same way: a reliable partner that is present for everyday money moments and a brand that brings people together. Aligning with the NBA, one of the most recognizable brands in the world, is a natural, strategic move to connect with Filipinos through something they love.”
The NBA has a broad media presence in the Philippines, with games available on One Sports, RPTV, NBA TV Philippines, Disney+, Pilipinas Live, Prime Video, and NBA League Pass.
Filipino fans can also follow the league through its localized social media accounts on Facebook, TikTok, and X and purchase official NBA merchandise at NBA Stores in GH Mall, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Megamall, as well as online.
