Mober expands green logistics fleet in the Philippines

Green logistics company Mober is growing its fleet with 30 new six-wheeler electric trucks and four three-wheelers. This expansion strengthens the company’s ability to offer sustainable delivery solutions in the region.

With the recent fleet enhancement, Mober now boasts a total of 60 vehicles, encompassing 39 e-trucks, 17 e-vans, and 4 three-wheelers. The company aims to become a major player in the Southeast Asian green delivery market. Their goal is to have a fleet of 100 electric vans and trucks by the end of this year and 500 units within the next two years.

Earlier this year, Mober reinforced its commitment to major brands by increasing its dedicated fleet for IKEA Philippines. This strategic partnership, along with the recent expansion, positions Mober as a valuable partner to prominent multinational FMCG titans such as Unilever Philippines and Nestlé Philippines. Notably, the company is commencing a pilot delivery program with the largest chain of coffee shops in the world.

As Mober steers towards its sustainable goals, it’s concurrently finalizing a loan application with government-owned entities, Landbank and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP). Both institutions are ardent advocates of the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA Law), or Republic Act No. 1169, which encourages the adoption of electric vehicles in the Philippines.

Mober’s CEO, Dennis Ng, remarked, “Our unwavering dedication to merging efficiency with sustainability is evident in our aggressive push for electric vehicles. With each addition to our fleet, we’re not merely growing – we’re leading a shift towards a more sustainable Philippine logistics landscape.”

Earlier in the year, Mober accentuated its green trajectory by partnering with Swiss coffee behemoth Nespresso for a carbon-neutral delivery initiative. Moreover, their alliance with location technology enterprise What3words optimizes the delivery process, granting customers the ability to specify exact delivery locations with a unique three-word combination, ensuring precision and promptness.
